  1. I think it is good that we left the phrase, "in our own eyes," off of the title of our blog.

I would like to put forward the idea that we are right (to our own eyes) untel someone convinces us that we are wrong and if we except their proof as our theory of life, we are right again.

Oh, yes. And I would like to ban the word "believe" from our vocabulary. I think we should say, "I theorize" instead of, "I believe" because one needs a foundations for theories and one does not need a theory for believes. When one makes a theory they need evidence, when one makes believe they need nothing.

  2. You seem to be suggesting that we _believe_ that our ideas are correct until proven otherwise. I would rather carefully and constantly consider alternative ideas in an effort to _weigh_ them against one another.

Additionally you are falling victim to a very narrow definition of belief and an incomplete definition of theory.

I will agree that we should be candid about what we believe and when a belief is operative (which, by the way, you fail to do in your first point). I also agree that we should not _defer_ to a belief simply because it is a belief (which you also are in jeopardy of doing in your first point).

Finally, this may be a great subject of your next post. Don't limit yourself to a mere comment.
